84 Johnson 235hp Power Trim

The power trim on my 84 235hp has stopped working. It was working fine this morning. The trim motor is spinning but it is not going up or down. I have not taken anything apart yet. Anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong.

First thing Id check is fluid. Loosen the manual release valve on the starboard side, lift the motor and set the locking lever and check the fluid. Fill if necessary, and cycle it it a bunch of times, check again.
Had a similar problem with mine, was working one minute, not the next. Fluid was low and pump lost prime. Would go down but not up.
Easiest if on a lift or trailer....
