I have seen this before. Any one ever checked out to see how accurate it is?

Admins getting all the money? Doesn't this sound a lot like our government? I donate to the local food bank thru the Salvation Army and it pisses me off every time I get one of their "send us money now" letters that seem to show up about every other month. I know you have to advertise, so to speak, but I gotta wonder just how much money is wasted sending these mailings out as opposed to what they generate. I have always felt you should support whatever cause you believe in if you are in the position to do so but have always heard there are many that support their orginization before their cause.

Sally Ann has always been the best place to donate money. The best way to ensure no money goes to administration is to donate your time instead.

I have read other articles who state the same. Even one of the TV channels did a story awhile back reporting many only GIVE 5% or less to the cause. That said I also think its the same for some "non-profit" and "not for profit" charities. For me "non-profit" and "not for profit" equals SPEND EVERY $$$ THEY TAKE IN STARTING WITH THE CEO:eek:

IMPO, The important thing is to help if you can, but check the charities you choose to see where exactly the $$ goes!! I find that some are just plain out of line!!

When I'm feeling charitable, I get a 12 pack, a few steaks and sides and invite my retired disabled vet from next door over for dinner...................

The Red Cross also actually asked for reimbursement for helping with a tornado near here back in the late 60s.
