Remembered awhile back you posting you had a Zport... My question is whats the port timing at on your Z, I measured my port height on the exhaust, it measures 1.4480. Was this thing ported to the extreme or is this stock height? Also, any pros or cons on this motor, what HP you getting, which ECU do you run, heads, ect. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Z ports have all different port timing. Where are you measuring to on yours? Are you at the top of the chamfer or are you slipping the caliper into the port. We got 275 HP at the prop. It was a real piece of S!*t. The exhaust timing was at 1.570. Not the best. The thing leak water internally all over the place as most of them do. We ran 26 CC heads and an A63. My recommendation is to get rid of it before it blows up. It will cost a fortune to fix.

There's not much of a chamfer there but, I did measure from the very top of what was there. 1.4480 seems WAY to high. I'm sure it will kill all my low-end. I'm going to run it for a season see what it does... If nothing else I got a good crank, rods, Mahle pistons, and Rapair electronics to stick into a 260 or any 2.5 for that matter. Thanks for your info!!! DAN
Let the caliper slip into the port and see what that measurement is. That will be closer to the actual port timing.
Sorry, no harm was meant. Some Z ports do work as some people have posted good results with them. I myself have had bad luck. I have in no means tested all the Z ports out there. I do apologize, I had no idea you were selling one at this time.
Mr. Quicksilver, do you know any of the history of your Z and how old it may be? Thanks - Russ.
