Many of you have seen my velocity up for sale in the sale thread.... well here is the replacement. I purchased the progression almost 2 months ago, sold the motor to Ghost28, and immediately ripped the whole boat apart. Sent it to Raybo (Robf) and had every hole in the boat filled. Then I started a full out re-rig. Every nut, bolt, and wire has been replaced.
Big thanks to....
Raybo- Glasswork
Kevin@Progrssion- fittings/ ansering some questions
Hoser- hose and fittings
87starflite- Pushing me to get teh boat done ASAP
Ghost28- Making fun of me for ripping a nice boat into pieces lol

that little well under the pumps looks like a great spot for empty beer cans - just flip them in the air and they'll end up there

Boat is a 98, seems like it led a very easy life. Ran 77 full of fuel, gear and 2 people last night. I am sure there was more left because i wasnt really hanging the boat out yet. Still feeling the boat out before I string it out

Even though i have done it already the day you got it home i will say congrats.....I am jealous that you got yours done first....
guys this boat is nicer in person than it is in these pictures....mikeylarge is probably the most nitpicking sumbich out there....I got to his house at about 7am the sunday after he pulled an all nighter getting it home and he was already tearing this thing apart....on monday the motor was off and in my garage and tuesday the thing was at raybo being massaged by Rob.....mike is definetly crazy....I asked him why he wouldnt have used it the way it was and he started rambling on about dirt, snaps, screws, oxidation, old parts and something about a barn....i just looked at him and shook my head....
enjoy it mike....

Mike, the progression is indeed a beauty, I am sure she will be running over 80 when you have her all dialed in. I am eager to know how it handles compared to the velocity. What prop did you use for the initial testing (what rpm were you turning at 77mph)?

Really nice looking rig! I don't know why we don't have any setups like that out here on the West Coast?

heres a few from this afternoon. it was pretty rough out but we found some flat water and ran the balls off the boats. Congrats to the dick who missed the s cut and left his 34 searay laying on the marsh about 75 feet from the water! lol

Very nice. I've been paying more and more attention to that style of boat. Curious to your feelings/findings in regard to the Velocity.
Funny about the Searay ;) I stood on a sand bar full of boats in Lake Erie yrs (well marked I might add) back and watched a 44' Searay do the same thing.
Came to a stop a 100 yds from us, and rolled on it's side like a beached whale. Guy beside me asked what the puff of black smoke was and I said, oh that's the owners $100K diesel upgrade :) Can't fix stuppid.

I drove the velocity for so long, I really have to get some seat time in this one before I can give a review. I used to sit in the velocity and lay down 84 mph passes one after teh other without really even paying attention, I just knew exactly how the boat felt at any given moment and what adjustments to make. The progression is a completely different boat so it is going to take a little while. I will say that the latham steering is an absolute must, and I will never own another performance boat without it!
