Epoxy Coat is a very good, quality coating. It is 100% solids and will last a long time. Frank
2 part epoxy is great if ya get it down before the floor accumulates oil, etc.. I rented a floor buffer with a stiff brush and added a concrete floor etching chemical. Has held up great for 4 or 5 years now.
mr fun

Catylized Epoxy is the best...since your inquiring about the "best". The Home Depot/Rustoleum type epoxy floor paints are not a catylized epoxy & are inferior. Take a visit to your local jetport & talk to them there. They can steer you into the right direction & possibly give you their commercial grade epoxy coating source/vendor. Plenty of it on-line as well. Floor preparation is equally important. Initially calling for a degreasing & most of the time requiring a mild acid etch & wash. Dry it out with fans for many days before coating. No big deal to do, & the final results are outstanding & will last forever.

Hi Tom, good to hear from you. I put down a 100% solids 2 part epoxy on my 3 car garage floor 24 years ago when I had this house built. I did all the work myself, and the prep took the most time. Cheap water based epoxies don't hold up plus hot tires will cause the coatings to lift. I have been planning to recoat my floor this fall when the heat and more importantly the humidity drops. I have had no peeling but the floor could stand a freshning up. Over on the website the garage journal.com and look under flooring . A person by the name of Christine works for Epoxy Coat and is great to deal with. I have called her a couple of times with questions and she knows the answers. Attached is a picture of my current floor with the light grey Epoxy.Frank

Mitch, one of the most reasonable ways to buy the Epoxy Coat is thru Lowes plus you can use one of their 10% off coupons called a moving coupon. What you do is go to the post office and ask for one of their moving packets (no cost) inside is a coupon you can use to save 10% or you can go on line and print out a coupon also. Not all the Lowes stores have the Epoxy Coat. Christine with Epoxy coat can tell you the stores in South Carolina that have it. Frank

I have a buddy who works at Sherwin Williams and he say they have a great industrial product. He's going to set me up here soon for my addition floor.

sherwin williams is hands down best for my experiance , I spent a fortune on store brand and , special order floor paints ,some even came with hydrous acid cleaner prep kits , primers etc , My buddy gave me some left over S W paint from his shop, hardest glossy surface Ive seen its 5 yrs old and a mop will bring it back like day 2 . I went to ace hardware the SW paint supplier here at the time, for more the same paint was available , same color (1 of 3 epoxy shades ) light tan ,aqua green (mine ) ,and grey .

Lowes gives Vets 10% off 24/7 but ya gotta show proof at the customer service desk.
Home Depot will too if ya push them, cause they know Lowes does, usually they only do it on Veterans Holidays.
LMK when it dry Mitch, I'll bring all my sh*t up yonder LOL
