Just got my new Carbon Fiber blower hood for Z06 from Hi Tech Friday . Its 2 inches taller to clear for blower and has vents along the exhaust to vent extra heat and much lighter.

The Hi Tech folks were great to deal with and had it here cat quick from NY and packed like a sore toe, not one blimish... www.hitechcc.com (http://www.hitechcc.com)

Going to the paint shop as soon as I can catch up with these engines and get it there, which it looks like that ain't gonna happen for weeks.......

It seems that in your world, the sun really does shine on a dogs ass everyday, dont it? That vette seems to be getting meaner every minute, do you calculate rear tire costs into your business expense writeoffs??? And I quote... "AINT HORSEPOWER COOL"....

C F blower hood went to painter today, Chuck Coupland one of THE best custom painters on the planet is doing the work. He is doing a ghost "Jake" mural ( the corvette team racing mascot which is a skull with the eyes the corvette wing emblems and the skull's teeth are the amount of can am races in a row corvette racing has won ) on the clear carbon fiberin the middle of the large C F strip going down the center of the yellow hood , that allows the carbon to show through the silver pearl on the large center stipe and ghost mural of the hood the rest is stock yellow , gonna be bad arse.. note the black headlamps..

Pictures will be posted when finished , should be by next week..

Before I had changed to the CF hood most saw the car with matt black vinal in a stock OEM pattern from the front to the rear but I went a bit farther than the OEM look ...

After Chuck Copeland painted the hood and left the middle of the carbon fiber clear the matt vinal just didn't "work".. Removed the matt vinal went back in the spray booth and sprayed close to the same pattern BUT with a small pin stripe and the paint is now Black Pearl...Should pick it up Thursday or Friday, can't wait to see it... Copeland is one of the best custom painters in the US and he ALWAYS does unreal work on my cars and trucks in vinal as well as in paint ....

Picked up Vette last night and all I have to say about the paint quality is AMAZING , 90 % of the complete car was re cleared as he didn't care for some the OEM stock paint work. . Pictures to follow..

Thanks SOOO much JP we are just learning the picture deal....

Rear diffuser on the way to replace the cheezy rear stock OEM one. It will be also painted yellow, it will be a VERY different look, I've NEVER seen one installed on a vette on the street ..

Most thats never noticed on a Can Am car the diffuser is twice as large as stock and goes under the rear of the car car and stream lines the air flow and creates down force at big MPH...

After that and the carbon fiber front splitter is installed I'm through with the car body mods, next motor...

Thanks John,
The CF blower vented hood is a product from Hi Tech in NY and the fit was a BREEZE ( Cathy and I and installed it ) ...

The soon coming rear difusser and the front CF splitter are products of Breathless Performance, the yellow, black pearl, clear, and Corvette Racing "Jake" ghosts in Silver Pearl are by master painter Chuck Coupland in La Porte , Texas....

Thanks again,
Jay and Cathy

OK, Got a suprise this AM , we have a 75 Gal. fresh water tank that has quite a few high $$$ fish that we have been raising for over 5 years.. Hired a Fish Store guy to take care of the tank and clean every 30-45 days. He's done a great job for 6 months came yesterday cleaned as usual, this AM Cathy and I were in the living room when the timer lights came on on the tank and EVERY freaking fish was DEAD ! ( Except the larger bottom suckers ) Cathy is on the phone with him now, that Indian is HOT !

Water to hot. He changed the T-stat temp or something (by accident). Those bottom sucker (shark fish) can survive just about anything.
But others like a maintained 75/76*'s
Good Luck in dealing with the Fish store on this one.
