Sitting here on a slow day at work wishing I was working on my boat and thinking about the first boat I saw as a kid that really "did it" for me. Would have been late 1960's or early 70's on Pickwick.
I remember thinking the boat was incredible. It wasnt a Glastron GT150 or Sidewinder type boat but a plain white little bubbledeck looking boat with the names Bill and Patty painted across the bow with a giant Merc on the back.
Folks just refered to it as that race boat. First time I ever saw one aired out and remember seeing the bank on the other side of the boat and that the motor/exhaust was not stock, loud as heck but I dont remember it being a stacker.
Never knew what marina he was out of but I remember seeing him run down Yellow Creek when it was calm.
I know this is like asking if anybody remembers the first hot girl I saw, but hey, there is tons of history on here and that wasnt an "off the floor" boat.
