I have an 88 four winnns 201 liberator with a 350 merc that's not getting enough fuel.It runs great , gets up on plane ,then as I accelerate it backs off on rpm.I changed water seperator filter, checked fuel lines, and the anti siphon valve is working and not cloged.Could my fuel pump be failing when it's under load?

If it has a q-jet carb there is a filter in the fuel inlet pipe

Thanks Euroski I changed that filter and my boat runs like the day I bought it. I can't believe a $5 filter can cause so much problem.I did learn more about my boat I put new plugs wires, rotor kit ignition sensor. I thought it was electrical first because it would run nice for about 10 minutes and i thought wiring was heating up.If you lived closer I'd treat you to dinner. It's awesome to have a forum like this instead of getting gouged at the stealership.
