I mounted my mercury 250 efi's on the twin engine bracket and I just had a question, as I can't remember how it was when I took them off. On the engine mount bolts should I used a normal washer along with the lock washer, the on the other side I used the locknut along with a lockwasher. Does it matter if you use the lock washer or not? I used both just to be on the safe side and didn't know if it mattered or not? It's kind of a confusing question and I apologize if it is. The bottom bolts are just lag bolted on the bracket. On the bottom bolts I used the big washer along with the lock washer then I lag bolted on the engine bracket. I wanted to ask just to be on the safe side. Does it matter if you use that smaller washer which is split on the end or does it not matter?
