200xri 95 high speed miss problem please help

95xri 2.5, the motor runs great starts perfect, when i go wot it will start to miss and only pull to 5k rpms, today i took it out, left the launch got it to temp went wot and it pulled to 6k rpm and ran at 6k for about 2 minutes without a hickup. skied 30 minutes and no issues, sat for an hour and then went out skied again and went wot, pulled to 5k perfect at half throttle, as soon as i go full throttle it skips and misses. anyone know what that could be, the high pressure pump sounds a little loud but i believe its always been a little noisy but everyone that hears the pump says it doesnt sound great. any advice would be appreciated, im going to verify wot fuel presure next weekend.

forgot to ad, i can cruise at half throttle and 5k rpms as long as i want without a miss, as soon as i push it a little farther it willl skip.

Maybe something in the inline filter ??? Whatever it is I hope it is an easy fix for ya !

I have chased my issue for a year, although mine is at 4K and then below. I did just change the electric pump on mine and it was loud too. It would read OK at low RPM then as the RPM went up the pressure went goofy. I guess you would have to check at speed which is how they found mine. Although it ran great for 2 weeks and its back to the SOS, haven't heard anything but I did change the stator about a year ago when I lost my charging - wish i could be more help.

found out what it was, after two new fuel pumps and filter changes, injectors serviced and sparkplugs,my motor has a filter in the fuel pump feed line from the VST tank. That was clogged with debris from a rubber line that deteriorated. I cleaned it and the motor runs great.
