Im thinkin bout gettin a new bullet bass boat and wondering witch motor would be best for me? I've had a bullet for 17yrs with 225 suzuki on it, that i just sold. I like the options of the 250xs, sportsmaster lower unit, higher rpm range, cause i like to play on holiday weekends but I do alot of bass fishin too. So what are the pro's and con's of the XS? Will it loadup on me just idleing around or get hot? Will it last as long as the pro xs ? I know there is no set in stone hrs you can put on a motor before it needs rebuilt but on the avreage how many before it needs freashin up?

What bullet model do you plan to purchase? Its going to play a roll in which lower unit you will want to run.. 20 = sporty 21 = torque master with a 250. I would make this your deciding factor..

Neither motor should load up if its running right in my opnion.

I got the new bullet 21ss model ordered. They changed the hull design up alittle. Its supposed to be a lot faster than the 21'10" I use to have.

I am aware of the new ss. I am a bullet owner myself. I have not driven an ss yet but from what I hear.. if it were my boat I would be looking into the 250 with 5 year warranty then swap the torque master for the sporty after purchase... the two motors are essentially the same... in my opinion if your willing to give up 3 years of warranty simply for the lower unit you may as well just step up to the 300.. unlessyour fishing hp regulated tournies...jmo
