I have a freshly rebuilt mod vp bridgeport and while running the motor i found that once i come off plane and stab it in the hole it boggs and will not plan and some time will stall out..However if i bump the primmer it will pop right up and run as it should...This powerhead has never done this in it past..So im wandering if i did some thing wrong in the rebuild..I also have a good 5 psi to the carbs. Any help would be great..Thanks

Is this a new problem since a rebuild or has it run fine, then started with the problem? Does it idle OK, respond properly when coming on plane, have expected full throttle RPM?
Check compression and carb float level. Start it at night and look for flashes of flame in intake from leaking reeds. Replace plugs and retest.

Thanks
The motor only started this after the rebuild. It was apart for 1 year.
It idles just fine and fires right up every time.I have good throttle once on plane. Now carb floats ill have to look into. But i dont see that since they have not been touched...But like i was saying a bump or 2 of the primmer and she will spoll right up and jump on plane every time..

Sounds lean, did you surface all cases during rebuild,if not you may have a air leak. If you let carbs sit for a year and did not touch during rebuild clean them now. Then again could be rings not seated,I had one do that and after break in 10 hrs. it quit doing it,It was a 2ltr though.
