I was in New Jersey and pulled into a Citgo gas station. While I was filling up my truck with 87 I noticed there was no "10% Ethanol" sticker on the pump. I asked the owner and he said that Citgo does not put Ethanol in there 93 Octane fuels. He said only Premium is 100% gas. Does anyone have info on this? It would be great to think that if you can find a Citgo station in your area that you can purchase non ethanol 93 Octane but not sure if this was just station specific. Any info out there?

Citgo.com,Consumer FAQ Under common question it says that station vary depending where there located and the Fed requirement
biggest problem is when you mix the 2, so if you cant keep using one it might be a issue

so it can not be mixed?
this is what "they" have always said, probably why the bulk of fuel issues was when it all started switching over.
Seems when it was first coming out everyone had problems, now the hysteria has calmed

Wow, so if you "mix" you could be creating more problems? I thought I had run across a little known secret. Has anyone else had Citgo stations tell them that there premium 93 was without ethanol? It would be nice to know what is out there.

They will lie to get your business. The only sure way is to randomly test thier fuel. I`m sure there are some people on here that know the proper testing procedure.

Is there a kit available to test the fuel for ethanol? It turns out that not all states by law, have to label there pumps with the ethanol content. You guys in Florida are lucky, it is a state law there to have a sticker on the pump.

Here's a link that shows all states that do and do not require labeling. They also have a portable tester.

I keep my politics and my motorsports apart. I'm interested in who might be pumping zero ethanol 93 Octane in the NY Metro area. If anyone knows, that would be great.

That line of thinking is a major reason we're watching our country disintegrate. I do not think we should fuel that America hating dictators bank account if he was selling 114 leaded race gas for 50 cents a gallon. Sooner or later we have got to get back to principles and what is best for the country rather than what scratches our own little itch at a given moment. Imports have overrun us and foreigners are now major owners in American industry just because generally people do not seem to have a sense of doing whats right. I would not buy a nickels worth of Chavez gas if I ran out right in front of a Citgo or Petro station and the nearest non communist owned one was 10 miles down the road. It is insane that our government allows it under some guise of free trade and even worse that we patronize it.
To the original question, many stations in many areas have super unleaded that does not contain ethynol. When traveling south early in the summer I saw it posted in multiple locations in Georgia and Florida. I have not seen it in Indiana. A chap who works in a distribution center told me that it does not come down the pipeline with ethynol but that it is added at the terminal at the whim of the distributor subject to some government regulations.
