Use the line out on the computer..... otherwise, the levels going into the burner will be too high

Why??
The way I read it was he has a CD burner for a sound system that he wants to hook up, probably does not have a burner in his computer...... just a guess....

no , jerry has a burner in his comp , just figured that if he downloads music from the internet he could get busted . so if it was done not through the comp it wouldnt be detectable

On the back of the computer there is normally three jacks, Microphone, Line In and the speker out which doubles as a Line Out. If you want to capture audio fro sources like youTube, you can use the program Audacity to record the sound and save it as a file..... nobody will be the wiser....... If you are downloading the music files, then they are already on the computer so go ahead and burn them to a disc.........

Jerry, check out some free software called Audacity. I use this software to record from YouTube and create MP3's that I import to iTunes for my iPod.
