Looking at a 25' Warlock. It has a Imco shortie Bravo and about a foot of Imco setback box and a 400 horse big block. It runs 85 GPS but hops. Up trim, down trim, no difference. It hops. Is the drive and setback combo all wrong or do these boats just hop?
warlock is a very stable boat every cat will hop at some point where air is freeing hull up ,i,m guessing at around 90/95 it will stop, and smooth out ,sounds like the top speed is where the hop is,or does it hop at slower speeds like 50/60 ,more power to get past the hop, lower the drive and or maybe different propmay help but speed will go down.

My old 25 with twin 2.5's would only slightly hop around 70, and that was only in dead calm water. With the center sponson, they usually don't hop that much. Later, Dave

The boat starts hopping at speeds in the low 60 range and never quits up to the top it will run which is into the 80 range when it is out of power. Big differences in trim do not help unless it is way under.

take about 2 sand bags per side, place them foreward of the helm, the farther the better, go run it. betcha a dollar to a donut, it helps. the rest is up to you. fun out
