At times your opinions seem filled with brilliance while at other times utter stupidity. Why should a civilized society lower its standards and alter its lifestyle to accomodate the whims of others. I do not know of one positive thing that has come from tolerance of radical muslims in this country. I do not know of one thing good that has come from tolerance of illegal immigrants of any origin that have come here with the idea that we must adapt or laws and lifestyles to fit their whims. There is an old saying, when in Rome do as the Romans do. Maybe if they had stuck to that principle their civilization would not have crumbled.

It is sickening that we have people in this country who advocate changing our lifestyle, weakening our laws, lowering our standards to accomodate or be tolerant of those who come here and do not like the way we do things. The same is true for the worthless part of the population born here that do not wish to live their lives by minimum standards of decency and at least some level of conformity.

I do not know of one case in history where a civilization has lowered its standards to accomodate a less productive group that there has been a positive outcome. In the good old US of A the same is true. Discipline, respect, conformity and reward for effort and accomplishment are the principles that create great nations, not free handouts, promotions based on anything other than accomplishment, or accomodations based on political correctness or liberal agendas. Accomodation and reward to those who do not put forth effort themselves is a roadmap for failure and that is the path we are on.

Did you bother to read it or did the liberal shield immediately pop up and make you blind? The paragraph in the beginning of this thread mentioned Muslims who advocate shari law. (radical Muslims) It also mentioned English as the main language. A majority of illegals here do not speak English, or either speak very little. Most do know the sentence "where are my food stamps" and "we have a right vote".

Preaching tolerance is preaching tolerance. Tolerance in this context always seems to mean that political correctness should win out over common sense when it comes to protecting the special interests of a given group or cause. Tolerance has now aquired this identity just as the word ignorant has come to describe those who are not willing to accept abnormal behaviour as normal or who will not condone special treatment for certain groups in some cases while prohibiting it in others. (selective discrimination such as affirmative action programs) The post that Mr. Clean compared to advocacies of Hitler did mention radical Muslims in that it specifially addressed those who advocate sharia law. You may also have missed the mention of the English language but it is a fact that a high percentage of illegals do not speak English.

I am not sure that this country was founded on the principle of freedom by the definition all you liberals use to distort it now. For example I am pretty sure the founding fathers did not intend for the freedom of speech to protect nude dancing. I am not opposed to nude dancing, but think that using freedom of speech as a Constitutional argument to justify it is pretty much liberal bs. Freedom among liberals such as yourself usually means freedom when it is convenient and random restriction when it is not. Liberals usually advocate restriction on the freedom to bare arms although it is guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment. Liberals also go to great lengths to restrict or remove religious freedom. Even voluntary silent prayer is prohibited in many settings including schools although Islam is condoned in more and more venues. Selective freedom is a wonderful thing in the minds of you liberals although in reality it is chaos. You liberals always think you should have it both ways. Freedom when it is convenient and restrict and regulate when it does not fit your agenda.

We won World War II because of conformity, love of country, people pulling together for a common goal. Have you ever read of the personal sacrifices non military people made back home during this time? People who donated prized family possessions to be melted down and used for military purposes, mothers who had never worked working on assembly lines assembling military hardware? Conformity, we all pulled together.

Today it would be a different story. If WW II broke out today with the same players we would all be speaking German inside this decade. We have so many able bodied people sitting on the portch drawing a check it is sickening. I would like to see an attempt at getting volunteers for a national emergency out of this pool of vagrants. In the 1940s the Katrina impact in New Orleans would have been addressed much differently. There would have been competent leaders in positions of authority and people would have pulled together to get through it instead of sitting on their backsides waiting for a handout and looting during the wait.

We live in what is becoming more and more of a police state and we are being taxed and legislated into total socialism. What you have described with Jullia Gillard is a virtual exact parallel of Obama and the accompaning dilema we face here with him. The critical difference is that the Australians probably do not have an entitlement bought segment of the population combined with a large population of stupid idiotic moronic liberals like our own John S here virtually assuring re election. You as a population are hopefully smart, ethical and patriotic enough to see the mistake and correct it. In the case of the liberal biased government controled majors like ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, AOL/Huffington Post and most major print, the news is so propoganda and results driven it is sickening to try and pick through for useful content. I remember the days of the Bush Presidency the daily op-eds on the war in Iraq, how many of our boys were being lost, extensive coverages of failures with little or no mention of success and other obvious attempts to sway public opinion rather than reporting the news. In the case of Rush and many of the Fox anchors although I agree with some or most of what they say, they can be redundant to the point of frustration and in some cases beat the dead horses beyond tolerance. It is easy to see social signs of the problems here without resorting to the biased opinions of those before the camera and in front of the press.

Was reading last week about one illegal immigrant, for want of a better word, who was locked up in a detention centre whilst his claim was being processed and his wife and kids were allowed to reside in community housing. He protested by way of sewing his lips together, sutured his lips together or whatever. He ultimately sued the government and was awarded $800,000.00 dollars then was placed on a pension because he was deemed unfit to work due to the horrors he witnessed whilst seperated from his wife. Makes me sick.
