I bought this center console a few months ago b/c it looked pretty cool and was a good deal on craigslist. I thought it looked like a performance boat so i bought it. After looking around i believe it maybe where the 19' reactions came from. I say this because my boat is titled as a 1970 20' Seabreze....i believe they were built here in florida as were the reactions. Anyone ever heard of theses before and know if the is any truth to my thoughts?

It looks like a Raction. I don't know much about Seabrezes, but I would bet that boat is a lot newer than 1970.

I'm guessing that is a Reaction that got "re-titled" as something else for whatever reason. That boat looks about mid 80's vintage.

yeah i figured it was a 1980's to 90's boat but saw the title when i got it home and was shocked it said 70'. Maybe when they repainted it and stuff they put a diffferent title on it. Well anyways i was gona sell it but recently decided to keep it and re do it. I know the boat was bright yellow at one point in time and it came from orlando..incase anyone on here ever had one that color.

That is what i was thinking. Because i noticed this boat has a few different things in it. I couldn't really tell about the serial number b/c the boat was repainted and it looked like they stuck on a homemade serial plate. I feel whatever i got here, once i redo the hull i should have a nice performace boat. Thanks for the help guys. if anyone else has any pics of seabrezes or reactions i would love to see them.

Second reaction i've seen that doesn't have the gas tank underneath the floor. A buddy of mine has the same console and his gas tank is inside the console in the front. Interesting.

There is a built in tank that is as long as the boat...I'm not using it b.c idk what kind of stuff is left in there from yrs of sitting. I will take it out when I redo the boat and prbly put in a plastic tank under the console area. I'm gona take the boat out today and see what kind of speed it will run even being rotted and water logged.

Old idea really. Many smaller, older, center-console fish boats went this route with the fuel tanks. It was the best place to put them since there was no bilge depth. The 1960's & 70's 20' SeaCrafts had them under the consoles for instance. Its weight was centered in the boat, and easy to simply place a deck fill right above it. Some were even made out of semi-clear fiberglass in the center, as a site glass, to tell at a glance how much fuel you had left. Typical of the great Florida boat building ideas of the past, that helped developed much of what we have today.
