So my dual cable steer set up is a rack style "no feedback" that came with the Vector when I bought it. There has always been play from what I can tell, in the rack/helm area of the steering that I don't seem to be able to get out. On top of that, it is a real chore to steer this thing even out of the water.
I've started looking at hydraulic set ups for my boat. I'm not racing this thing every weekend, it's more of a pleasure boat than race boat, but, I'm not opposed to stringing this thing out like they're set up to do at least once an outing when I get some people off the boat at the beach.
I don't see the need if I'm spending money to go back to dual cable steering set ups as they aren't cheap, but I also don't see the need to spend 900+ bucks on a hydraulic set up for something that's 70 percent pleasure boating.
Help a brutha out in helping me cure my issue.
Thanks all
