Just got my manual jackplate back from being anodized. I only adjust it about 1/4" for different props. I was going to grease the mating surface of the inside and outside plates to reduce corrosion (I boat in salt) but that kind of what holds this thing in place. What do you think?
Heres a pic before I stripped and anodized it (it was just painted).

Also, whats the correct way to use the nuts on the threaded adjusters (threaded rod on each side). I have been using both on top of the plate and locking them together but someone said I am supposed to have one on each side if the plate.

Mercs 101 grease sticks real well and doesn't wash away easy, think it also has some teflon in it to.

I would think you would want a nut on each side instead of 2 on top. That would help eliminate the chance of the plate moving upward.

I guess I will set it up like the Bobs manual which also has the side adjusters. One nut at the top of the threaded rod, one on top of the plate and one under. Ill call and see if they grease theres but I had one of theis and dont recall it being greased.

Definatly, grease that thing up real good. Salt sucks, grease is your only chance.
