Update on the air condition theft at my Church:

I am a Deacon at my Church and the property chairman and have a air condition contractor friend doing the new instillation and he's installing cages around each the units thats concreted in the ground. Its not a sure thing BUT it seem to make them look for easier targets...

Time will tell, its a shame you have to resort to these measures to keep your property intact.....

probably will work if you also encase it it razor wire and electrify it it!! It's a shame there are people out there that are so selfish/thoughtless/inconsiderate!

The ones that have the chains that lapover the top and then lock to eyes at the bottom are the best since they are not in the way when you need to service the unit. None will stop a determined thief, but we have not had any repeat thefts once they were secured with a cage or the chains.
