How do you post a pic in a private message. When I click on insert an image it wants a URL. Is there a way to get them from your attachments alredy loaded? I know this is how it works in the tech secton. Thanks Jim

Yes, any image that is already on this site (or any other site on the internet) should have a URL which you can paste into the field that pops up when you click on the image icon

To get the URL from images on this site, rt click on the image as it appears in the thread and select either Copy Image URL or Open Image in new Tab/Window (With Copy Image URL, it puts the URL on your clipboard and you can paste it with CTRL V (Windows) or with Open Image in new Tab/Window, you will see the image URL in the browser address bar and can copy it there (Select the complete URL and press CTRL C to copy and then paste it later with CTRL V)

For example Gary's sig image URL is
http://www.screamandfly.com/image.php?u=30378&type=sigpic&dateline=1298637304

When you upload the image to tinypic or photobucket (better) wrap the image link with the picture link here or just copy it from photo bucket and click preview message. You should be able to see the pic. Same as entering them in a post.

here's a quick explanation...

Thanks for that info and your PM, but the original question is yet to be answered:

Can you post a pic that resides on your PC's Hardrive into a PM ??????????

No I don't think so. It takes 2sec to upload it onto photobucket and they write the code for you. Plus the pics sent have no size limit.

Thanks, I sort of thought it couldn't be done without importing......

Yea i havent uploaded a pic on site since probably 04-05

Having to resize every pic in picture manager one at a time before you upload is a real PITA. Photobucket lets you highlight about 30pics and they resize it and store them on line in albums so you can access your pics and run slide shows from anywhere you get internet
