Whats kind of paint striper? I want to remove the paint on my gear case

There are aircraft paint strippers but the are real nasty,Take it to a media blasting shop.

Loctite make a "CHISEL GASKET REMOVER" that also strips paint (so the can says). Might want to research it, ok to use on aluminum.

Paint stripper will also soften fiberglass gelcoat and nosecone epoxy, so be careful where the overspray lnads. It burns like hell on your skin.

why wouldnt you just sand it? 80 or 100grit on an electric DA makes short work of it.
