I have a Carlson Challenger 71. It's a 16' version of the Contender. Look at the Glastron site and go to the Carlson section.
I had a 69 Contender with an 85hp merc. and a friend had the same rig except he was running a 125hp merc. He did 72mph with the rig. Very tricky ride.
Where is this boat located??

The boat is in Niskayuna, NY which is about 10 minutes west of Albany. David

in a junk yard in Ky. It had been rigged as a v-drive. Damn funny looking. I took it home to restore but my step brother much like Cinderellas' sisters was jealous and burned it. I kicked his ass.

I Went With My Father In 1966 To Pick This Boat Up (i Was Two At The Time And Remember The Trip). I Love It, It Has The Original Metalflake Silver Paint And The Roll And Pleat Bucket Seats Are Original And Don't Even Have A Scuff On Them. I Am Down In Sea Bright Nj.
