Hi all,
I am rebuilding a 200 V6 Carb engine, my question relates to the diapham fuel pump, it has 3 hoses to it???
Fair enough 1, fuel in, 2, fuel to carbs, the third line which I am confused about is what it does, it comes from the back of the fuel pump and connects to the front half of the block via a 90 degree elbow, the problem being there is no hole in the front half of the block at this point for vacum, this is achieved via the normal hole into the block higher up under the fuel pump, so what is this 3rd hose for? which doesn't go anywhere? See attached photo, it is the hose which is half off the elbow at the bottom of the photo. The engine is a bitzer so cannot guarantee the front half is even orginal!
Also as the motor has two new sleeves installed do I have to change the jetting in the carbs for thses two cyclinders?
