champion QL77JC4 plugs

Will I have any problems using champion QL77JC4 plugs in a stock 1983 2.6XP. I have a couple sets from another motor. Thanks

As long as timing is correct,91 octane fuel and clean carbs they are fine, I run them all the time.

As a point of further clarification on these plugs. OMC issued a service bulletin regarding them: [OMC service bulletin 2168, dated 7/86 indicates that the use of the L77JC4 or the QL77JC4 plug was never approved for use in 1986 and earlier crossflow V6 engines. Under certain conditions, it can lead to preignition and detonation. Factory warranty would be denied for any engine running those plugs or any other J-tipped plug.] Racer's opinion is valued as one of the preeminent OMC Hi Perf experts on this board. I accept it as fact: get the timing set correctly and only use 91 gas if you want to use those plugs.
