Found these pictures of my 18 Baker when it was new. This was the first time it was in the water after it was rigged for Mod Vp. They where taken in April 1984. Someone on the board owns this boat now and has an OMC on it.

That boat was flying just right!
Had a 20' Baker rst with a 260 on it and was a lot of fun!
Pretty quick and would turn on a dime!!

Awesome pics! Do you have any more? You've got me wishing I coud get mine to fly like that.
I was changing the powerhead on mine today. Its a bit of a milder version, but I'm hoping to get in the 90's when I get her sorted out.228051
Keep it up with the great pics!

My 2 bakers:
The 18' was only running on 4-1/2 cylinders at the time this photo was taken. It still was able to pull my 100 lb. son on his wakeboard with all of his friends in the boat. Two of us had to get up on the bow to get her on a plane, though. 225 hp powerhead comng soon!
I've had the 20' Rally Sport since 1989. It originally had a 2.6 XP on it, when that blew I went to Yamaha. I took a lot of grief over the Yamaha, but other than a voltage regulator and cleaning the carbs I've never had any trouble with it. The photo was taken at Dale Hollow last summer. Thats me in the red shorts.
They are great boats, incredible hull design work by Al Stoker, and built to last.

Hey Doug, I remember when you bought your Baker Bass new. When are you going to put a 3.0 LT on? How's life away from the Ford plant these days? George

Chris I don't believe so Chris. Mine had different colors no black , it may have been the other Baker RSTX, George owned 2 of them. Mine had the Exxon Tiger face emblems on the sides of the boat.
