I heard there is a sleeve that can be installed to repair the top main bearing surface. I have a crank that the top bearing went out on and was wondering who to send it to, or who to get the ring from and how much?

Lets move this back up top. Several people including US-1 have said not to try and repair a crank with the damage to the top bearing surface, but I don't remember if it was the top main or top rod journal.

The place to have the top main journal repaired is Precision MFG & Sales in Clearwater, FL. Phone number is 1-800-237-5947
They actually install a hardened sleeve over the damaged journal. It works great and we've had several done over the past few years with no problems. Besure to correct the cause of the failure before running the engine though, ususally the small check valve that supplies oil to the upper bearing is the cause...

I've had it done to a crank before. But that was on a crank that never saw over 6000 rpm...

Yes David is the best. To clarify things it’s the top rod journal you do not want to repair on a Mercury crank. All the mains including the top main can be repaired. I have never had a failure on of David’s cranks and some I have been running for years in race conditions.
