I found this rig two season's ago and for
the price I stole it. $8,000
1991 Hydrostream Voyager XT. 91 225 Johnson
Stock motor,BOB's nosecone(LWP),Downhousing
exh. releif, Mazco 29 RE3,Rapid Jack 6 inch
setback, Propshaft at 1 inch below the pad,
around 6000 at 77mph not GPS.
I don't think my setup is optimal. I think
this motor is detuned and I want to keep my
reliability up. Average 100lbs comp.
Installed the Sea Star Pro I got from Jay
Smith used ,another lucky deal.Thanx
Installed the analog dual EGT Gaffrig gauge.
I bought a set of High compression heads
from Bill(not on yet),installed a straighter
runner intake from Acie(88 model) and I've
got the small carbs from the Factory.
I'm not sure if or how much the heads will
shorten the life of this motor?
I'd sure be open to suggestions on any of
the above.
Thanks for your time and info!!!!
Robert
