Lower Unit Drain and Vent plug seals

does anyone have an alternative for the fiber-type lower unit drain & vent plug seals for a Mercury gearcase? I have a 200 gearcase with sportmaster carrier and propshaft. The vent plug has the fiber washer and the drain plug looks almost like an O-ring recessed into a lip. I am getting a little water in the case and think it comes from the plugs. Any suggestions for alternatives would be much appreciated.

I have been getting the yellow plastic ones with the water pump rebuild kits for years. No leakage with them on my 200s and 225s. Make sure the area is clean before installing them.... Also tighten them with an impact screw driver a little past hand tite.. Remove them with same tool...
