Lookin to buy an old 78 sleekraft 26 with a smallblock vortec and a volvo 280 outdrive.
I am gathering that this is not a trimmable unit underway, and is only driven with the unit up (in)against the stop pin,, Electric worm motor is for trailering only..
Looks like the push rod for the tilt is bent and wont retract fully.. Boat is on a lot, the boat dealer said it would be fixed.
It does look like the reverse lock does work if the unit would trim down all the way.
Undesided, am an outboard man, but want an pld daycruser to thrash around in on the weekends..thinkin i might get it pretty sheap.....Anyones oppinion is much appreciated...thanks..
