I find most newly built 280's that I build bone stock with round fresh honed bores and new rings have 155 ish and I have built them that had 165 STOCK after re plating .. Its according if you have the 280 electrics then the answer is NO super 93 unleaded is fine, if you are running a 260 style ignition maybe. Its according to the load and your geographic location.I would not feel fuzzy about running 155 + at 25 degrees timing ( like a 260 ) with this "iffy" fuel we are having to run..I'd splash or bump it with something to up the octane and slow the burn down ...
Just my .02

If your gauge is accurate 130 PSI cranking at sea level is TOTALLY SAFE on super unleaded motor gasoline..
