Hi group. I have found a new board to play on:) very informative site. i have a 21 foot bullet xrd bass boat with a 1994 225 0d936128 model 1-925311rh promax unpainted block the oil pump drive gear stripped. so it is time to play i plan on junking the whole system and just mix the oil in the fuel tank. it is a virgin stock everything where should I start? i would like to pull the heads and get them milled and a differant reed cage. what would your sugestions be for the exaust cooling sys ect. i just use this for bass fishing hole to hole some slow speed stuff looking for road beds on graph ect. Not looking to go drag racing but would like to push the speed up some it runs god now 70-75 with two guys and livewell full rpm is @6200 depending on chop on water 6300-6400 with just me in boat 26 quicksilver tuned prop solid hub low water pick-up lower unit with bullet nose thanks for any help and yes i have been reading and searching

There is alot of information to be told here but I will tell you to check your compression now to see where it is at. Then you will know how far you can go. No more than 150 on the guage with 93 octane fuel. :)

thanks we run the 4 stroke bikes up around 230 psi:) but also run the 80 dollars for 5 gal fuel too top rpm 16,400

Remove oil inj. and leave it stock. thats the best way to consistently get you to that fishing hole. the set up with the boat will give you greatest gain in your application without jepardizing life of the engine, or always working on it or wondering when is the inevitable is going to happen.
Wheels, and engine height are the best way to play!!
He'll re-work the block to make up for where the oil injection stuff gets removed, and he can check/fix compression issues. He's also the 'head shaver' of choice around here. My 1995 225 Promax (100% stock) has compression currently ranging from 122 to 130, and when any one cylinder goes below 120 I'm going to pull the whole powerhead and have him completely freshen it and professionally remove the oil injection crap inside AND out.
