shoot some gas in the horn and see what happens.

just tryed puting some gas down the horn but kinda fired and stoped tryed it again and nothin. done a comp test its 125psi on my gauge. no sure what it should be? seen the flywheel is a lil rusty where the crank postion sensor reads thinking that it would affect the spark tho. spark is strong.

Stock compression on "healthy" 280 shout be 155 + cranking at sea level.. I would check fuel pressure at the rail and then check and see if the injectors are firing ( spraying fuel ) , sound like lack of fuel..

hi jay thanks the reply. pulled injectors out and tested all 6 are firing with good spray paterns. hooked up fuel pressure guage and reading 32psi... so im thinking my gold reg is needing to be changed????? is there any advantage of getting an adjustable reg for it or a waste of time? cheers.

32 is a bit low needs to be 39-40 running.... I am a stickler for system matched fuel parts. I'd go with the stock non adjustable bosch , available from Brucato their available in the states and are a Supporting Vendor of this site.. But it should start and slow idle at 32 PSI, me thinks you have another issue...

Good luck mate,

new pressure reg and it fired up rite away. i put 2 different fuel pressure guages on it 1 type was the opti fuel and air guages and they were 9psi out compared to the new guage i brought. when i looked @ the opti guages they wernt sitting on zero. so theres a mistake i wont make twice.
wana say thanks to capt.insain-o and jay for the help. this site is great and guys like u that make it better. cheerz guyz.
