Anyone know where I can find replacement Tygon tubing? The tygon tubing on my 280 is pretty fouled and nasty looking. Also in the process of removing the old tubing from the motor I broke one of the tiny little plastic tees that tie it all together so I need help finding that too. Thanks for any help.

I don't think Tygon is what you are looking for. Tygon will get hard with exposure to hydrocarbons (gas). But there is a very similar tubing available that will remain pliable over the long term. Seems like Eagle One or one of the other performance vendors will have what you want.

The yellow fuel/oil grade Tygon tubing is what comes on High Performance motors from Mercury and I have found over the last 14 years using it to be fuel/oil friendly , I buy it in 50 FT spools and use TONS of it a year from www.mcmaster.com (http://www.mcmaster.com).. 1 404 346 7000
McMaster-Carr part number 5552K23 is the correct part number for the size you need and its sold by the FT.( .61 a foot ) The Tees you will need is part number 5463K181 and are sold in a pack of 10 ( $7.62 a pack ) I like the slight bit larger tees but they don't clog and are the same size OD as the tubing is ID less restricted flow and can be pressed on the tubing with ease...I also use micro ty straps on each hose to fitting joint...
Good luck,
Jay

I use the yellow tygon on all my 2stroke lawn equipment as replacements for the original fuel lines. It does hold up pretty well for most applications, however, ehtanol fuels have a habbit of ruining it faster than regualr gas. But that's a whole nother argument.

i agree with jay. the bigger tees work better. if there is a leak that means lack of oil somewhere!!!!!! strap everything.

That's where I usually get it...
If you need it in a hurry your local lawnmower shop should have it. Usually runs about a $1.00 per foot. ;)

I found the tees at Grainger also...$6.69 for a 10-pack. They carry the tygon tubing also but they only sell it in 50ft spools for $39. Mcmaster-Carr has everything you need but if you need it quick Grainger usually has it in stock if not comes in next day.

Here are the specs on the correct grade of Tygon. For Information purposes only.
And +++++ on Mc Master Carr. I just yesterday placed an order from them. They are a little pricey on shipping their small orders. But you'll usually see it within two days.

Your right on the pricey shipping Bud. I have to laugh sometimes when I placed an order for one item I can't find locally, but need it now.........The item I ordered is no bigger than a pack of cigarettes and shipped in a box that's 8" x 8" x 15" stuffed 99% full with packing materials...............LOL.
As they say........Ya wanna play.........Ya gotta pay.........

Yep you nailed that on the head Gary.. The size of the boxes amaze me some time as well. My last order was for two tortion springs that would fit in the palm of my hand. And they arrived in a box just like you described. It took me longer to find them in all that wadded up packing than it does to drink a beer on a hot day.
But their service is impeccable. And if they ain't got it you're likely not to find it.
