Merc 3.0L 225 oil pump block off plate needed

I could use a little help locating a oil pump block off plate for my 94.5 Merc 3.0L 225 Carb.

I purchased the motor used & it had the oil injection system bypassed, but they never actually removed the pump. they simply plugged the hoses. My Merc guy tells me that's bad ju-ju & I should really remove the pump & install a block off plate, but I can't seem to locate one or even a part #.

Anybody have any info on where I might find one?? some basic install instructions would be much appreciated too.

You can use the same one from a 2.4 or 2.5. Just cut it to length. It's the same bolt pattern.
