Hi,

Its freezin cold in Norway, so then we need to think a little about boats :)

The lower unit of the Verado 350 sci has waterintakes in front of the torpedo and on the sides. It does not like to be jacked as high as a regular Torquemaster case, and the Verado require higher waterpressure as well than a 2 stroke 3 liter. Typically 20 psi at wot.

I will block some of the upper waterintakes on the sides, but wonder if its possible to use a transom water pickup if I run out of water. I rather do that than install a nosecone. It will slow my down. I will only add a nose cone if I reach blow out speed.

Expected speed will be 81-83 mph with a Phantom 25 and the 350 sci.

Thanks!

Toffen, I have thought about this also. If you raise the motor, only using the intakes under the bullet do the side intakes, would they suck air ? I run a SportMaster w/o side intakes. Is it possible to temporably block them off to test ? "HIGH LIFE"

Hi!

I have been reccommended to block off the 3 upper holes on each side. I did that with my Torquemaster when I used a PM 300. I will test that out first. When I ran my PM 300 the propshaft was 2-2,5 inches below the bottom. I hope the gearcase of the new 350 sci can handle that. There have been some owners running out of water when jacking their 350 sci to modest heights. However, I have also been told that the new poseidon lower unit will address some of these issues. Lets see :)

can you block the higher water holes and grind out the lower ones with a dremel to funnel more water in to compensate?

Are the intakes on the SportMaster the same size as the Torquemaster ? "HIGH LIFE"
