help setting up a vector

89 vector,150 RX2, has a 6'' jackplate,w/26 chopper , low water pick up..... where should i be on the motor height?:confused:

I'd say even with pad to 1.5" above. You will have to play with it to the sweet spot, but a good place to start. Watch water pressure and if the boat starts to crab walk you are to high. My .02

If you post your question in the PowerTour thread, you will get some great feedback from some great guys....Ive been told as a rule of thumb, start even with pad and keep going up 1/4" at a time till it gets out of hand, than back it back down an 1/8".
