Found a 51-52 Mercury ke-4 that Iwant to add to my collection. What should I offer for it? Its not running but its all there and in real good shape. Thanx 87 Hydro"

You should by a copy of Peter Hunn's "Old Outboard Book" it has a value guide that has become the standard for most old motors.

My guess is $75 to $100, not running could need coils, water pump impellor, etc, setting you back another $100....where $175 might buy you a runner........

Complete motor in excellant condition but has been sitting in a basement for 31 years. $50 on a Mercury (great bonus) stand. Also bought a 1500 Merc from the guy that runs for $200. Kinda beat up but very restorable. These will look great in my Merc.collection. Thanx- 87 Hydro"
