I have an older model 1250, 1275 Capilano helm that is unpainted. Looks the same and has the same model number as the painted model, my question is, does it take the same seal repair kit?
On different sites I found two different kit numbers HS5160 and HS5161. Which one is the correct one?

I replaced the plastic front panel on my capilano in the beggining to this season. I was going to buy just the seal kit (it was slowly dripping from the shaft)but the guy said for the price just go ahead and buy the whole front panel, it was just a few bucks more. Easy fix and no more leaks. I bought it from Bucklew marine systems (california i believe?)and it was shipped directly to my house from teleflex. the part # is HA5400 description is assy front cover 1250/1275 Hope this helps!
