If you don't have a stud driver. Then double nut the stud, jam the nuts together, apply a drop of red locktight and run them in with a ratchet just until they bottom out. Un jam nuts and you're gone.

Very lightly seat them in the block. Dont muscle them down .

if your not changing head gaskets every weekend sell the studs and get head bolts if you break one off flush with the block you got trouble they are a bitch to drill
