Without having the 2 in front of me to look at the differences, what is the difference between a carb intake and an EFI intake for a 150 fishing motor? I currently have EFI and am going to change to carbs and need to know what I need besides carbs and linkage for a 2.0l fatblock.
Thanks
Mark

There is no differences on the way they bolt up. You get intake and carbs and it will bolt right up. If you have a factory 150 EFI it is a 2.5L not a 2L. The only 2L EFI is a HP engine that is overseas and far from 150 HP. Hope this helps!

You need a carb intake, the EFI intake may be a different length, but definately won't work with the carbs properly, due to the shape of the passages, chris

Yep, you will have to have a carb intake. I think you were actually asking if carbs would bolt to EFI intake and the answer is no. I thought you were asking about how the intakes bolted on when I first read it. Sorry!

Yup, you need the carb intake to go along with the carbs, there is a difference.
BTW, the reeds are the same, but I'd invest in a set of Carson reeds... well worth the investment

Ok Thanks guys. I do have a 2.0l block with an 150 EFI setup on it. It idles great and top end is great. But midrange is hit or miss because of the fuel curve being for a 2.5 and not a 2.0. It already has 4 petal rubber coated TDR reeds. I have a set of carbs off an 85 XR2 I am thinking of using but I will have to find a carb intake for a 2.5l block. At least now I know what to look for.
Thanks again.

A 92-up 2L or 2.5L will work on it. If you don't mind grinding and adding a bleeder, a 83-up 2.4 200 intake will work also with some light mods. They are ususally cheap to find.
