I have 2 tuners off of 2.4 motors casting no. 41941 the same on both one tuner has 2 holes drilled at the top on the side facing the water tube. 1 motor is stock 200 the other is 1984 hipo with 1piece plate. I'm putting the 1984 back together during teardown noticed that no gasket between tuner & housing on hipo motor but a gasket on stock motor ? which tuner to use and do I need a gasket. Thanks Larry

Larry, since this has been posted all day and nobody else has commented, I'll take a shot. First of all, some boats that are real low in the water in the rear, stuffing the exhaust deep, will respond to having exhaust relief in the sides of the tuner if they're having a tendency to bog right off idle. That's the only reason I know of that one of your tuners would be drilled. If your boat doesn't fall in this category, I don' t think it matters which one you put on from a performance standpoint.
