I'm in the process of replaceing my 225 optimax powerhead with 250xs power head.Since I have it apart I'm changing to solid mounts as well as a hydrotec tuner.When I removed my old tuner and looked at the adaptor plate I was shocked at how bad it was casted.I realize that the 225 is choked up with the tuner and can for torque.However this was the adpator plate that had a lot of ruff edges and ridges.I'm just courious if on the Xs motor they cleaned this up a bit better then the std opti.I spent about 4 hrs cleaning it up and smoothing it all out so I'm good to go now.Has anyone else seen that ruff of castings on 3.0's I've never seen a 2.5 that was like that.
