V4 looper gearcases.

How do these gerar cases stand up to power increases? The prop shaft seems small, and I was a little worried turning a 24" Raker last summer.
Is there something they can be replaced with?

i used to spin a 28 chopper at 7000 rpm's with mine!!:eek:

I spin a 25 solid hub race cleaver on my Xflow V4 up to 7400rpms (Same grearcase) with no issues. Just make sure to start it in gear, run good oil and dont run bent props.:D

Thanks guys, I learned all about not shifting high pitch props into gear with my old preload pin gearcase on my ModVP. Can you spell $5000 in gear case repairs in one summer?
