eagle one 18 set up

I have a eagle one 600 +/- pnds and running a Merc 260 with A63 ECU, 8 " set back , 20 inch mid ( offshore ) and sportmaster case . For draging and good top end , at what height should be ok to put the engine ??? ( using a yammy 24 wheel ) ...

my i'd say 1.75 above the the pad i run as high as i can and keep good water pressure

the best way i found to do this is level the boat, and then level the drive so they are at the same angle. Take a straight edge on the bottom and move the jackplate up until the straight edge hits the water pickup. Don't worry about the tip of the bullet just worry about the water pickup every 1/16 can be alot. I
