Hey guys got a problem with my trim . Here the solonoids clicking but have no movement . Were does the power go after it leaves the solonoids ? I found a circle device on the left side just hanging off .

What kind of motor? if its a merc generally the power should go straight to the motor from the solenoid. If you have power going down the the motor, tap it lightly with a soft faced mallet and it should move a little. when it does, reference your service bulletin in how to remove the trim motor and have an auto electric shop rebuild it for you. Circle device? sounds like a trim sender fell off.

Thanks that was exactly what I was trying to say my trim sender has fallen out or of . Can I make my trim work with out that ? I have a 2.5/200hp motor .

The trim should opperate fine without the sender in the slot on the pin, your gauge will just not work. the sender is fairly inexspensive and easy to replace... But to remove the trim unit you may have to separate the clamp brackets, pull the trilobe pin out of the pin that your sender rides on, and then the bolts on the bottom to drop it out. It sounds tougher than it really is. What color is the fill plug? Black or yellow?

Maybe you are right on with your statement . Th trim was working earlier today and that trim sensor been broken for awhile now . So are you saying that if I have 12v going down to pump area then it has to be the pump ? Would the pump stock working when its low on fluid ?

do you have test wires

its best to remove all three wires from solenoids green , blue, black (the bigger wires) take your test wires with clips on the ends and connect to both battery cables on the switch box side of the motor (where they hook up to motor) Black is common ground ,blue is up, green is down connect the red or hot wire to each terminal eye blue or green separately then the other one if its a solenoid the motor will still run up and down with out solenoids in the circuit its likely one of them is out

Hey guys checked my wires this am found only had a two wire system . Tested by putting the wires on to my mains goin to motor it started trimming up so slowly then stopped . Now its not doing anything safe to assume I need a new trim pump motor . Is their anyway to adjust the trim manually ?

There is a manual release valve if you are trying to get the engine up or down to service the trim system. is that what you are looking for?

Yes that is what I am asking . How do I release the pressure so I can get to the pump ?

its on the driver side of the clamp bracket its a plastic slot style hex cap look at the lower portion of the pump unscrew a few turns slowly the motor will drop down or you can raise it up just support the motor at the gear case or hold it up so you can go to work 2 wire trim motors on Ebay 97.00 plus mail 1 year warranty

Pump ? or motor:confused: motor is easy pump a little more work! in any case be mindful of the o rings when going back together, if changing pump there is a small screen that needs to go Back:D refilling with fluid if you have the one with the knurled plastic screw in the back of the reservoir is hard:nonod: with out a bottle and a hose connected to it and with right size fitting that screws in to the screw hole i guess you can maybe find a squeeze bulb and fill it that way must be all the way up to fill. after filling run up and down several time to bleed the air out with everything closed good luck

Put a plastic nipple on your pt&t fluid bottle and fill.... then run it up and down a few times. repeat repeat repeat. Good luck!

O boy. I have drilled those out before. There should be a e ring on the back side of the release valve, if you can get that off you might be able to get it out still.

Okay I got the nylon screw to loosen up tilted motor back was able to access the screws . Loosened one screw no problem other screw broke off . So now can I replace whole mechanism ? Does the center ram come apart ? I have a whole unit to reinstall but don't know how to release the ram . Thanks
