I looked today at an OMC dealer and tried to see the differance between a 1989/90 200 hp and a 225 hp and we could not find any parts differance. Pistons, carb, jet & heads all showed the same part numbers for both engines.
Can anyone tell me what gets changed to go from a 200hp to a 225hp on a factory stock motor? (besides decals)

I was just getting ready to ask this question myself.. I did a search on here and read that the carb bore size is the same on the 88-92 20" loopers... What would I have to do to my stock '91 GT200 to make it a 225?

Yeah if you have a 200gt/xp model, it's already a 225hp.

Just looked at the parts book. A regular 200 vs 225 is the carbs.

So my 1989 GT-200 Looper is actually 225hp? Is that right?

I'm pretty sure that all the GT/XP models came with the mid bore carbs and throttle bodies. Thats the only difference between the 200 and 225.
