Is there any difference between c-2 and c-3 heads. I have both and am going to get a set cut and was wondering which to use???Thanks

if your c2's are like the ones i have. they have a smaller diameter and deeper combustion chamber. i was told that it is best to get the plug as far away from the piston as possible. don't know if that is true.

Either or is fine as long as the combustion chamber bowl is the same width.. I cut them both IMO NO difference in a pump gas motor..

I just happen to have a set of both C-2 and C-3 untouched.

The C-2's have a combustion chamber diamater of 2.389 + - a few thousandths (as they are casted) and cc at 42 cc's.

The C-3's have a combustion chamber diameter of 2.275 + - a few thousandths (as they are casted) and cc at 38 cc's.

They both have a very close depth in the combustion chamber.

The C-3's came primarly on the HP motors and the C-2's came on the fishing motors.

Keeping in mind that the only difference would be the Squish band area no matter what you have them cc'd at. 34 cc's is 34 cc's etc.

IMO unless you have a full blown race motor you could never tell the difference in the heads once cut. Like Jay said as long as you stay within pump gas motor range.

Have a Great Thankgiving!!!
