I am putting together a '88 200 looper and would like to know some tricks about more horsepower. I do not want to have a full blown drag motor, just more horsepower. Have already decided on new reeds, velocity stacks, and possibly shaved heads. Are there any carb tricks that i can do, i have a spare set for experimentation.

If you are new to modified loopers do not use the velocity stacks at first unless you enjoy changing reeds and the use of HCL and SiC. The lean condition in the upper midrange you are going to create can be difficult for even an experienced tuner to solve depending on your exact combination. You will also have to richen up the bottom a bunch to keep the motor from backfiring into the intakes or sneezing both at idle and when you chop the power otherwise phenolic reeds will be very shortlived.

the best you can do for that motor is get the compression up to 125 per and run good pump gass . exhaust tunner work next .ritchen motor if you up the comp ;)

Hey Taylor

Dude I know your not going to put it on the Avenger!!!

Call Danny Agnew & let him build you a tuner - 803-364-9351

When ya coming back down? I sent you a few e-mails & hadn't heard from ya. Do you still have the 150 eagle?

Mike

Sorry I haven't been in touch. Very busy with school. I am trying to transfer to UNO for their naval architecture program. Anyways, I am trying to get my checkmate back in the water. I am putting together a 225 for it. Still have the Avenger, with the same setup. I will call him and see what he says, need a new County Marine shirt too! Do you have any more OPBR shirts? How's your boat running? While I am thinking about 'streams, I found a guy who owns a 17 Hydrostream mold that said I could use it as much as I want. Thought about maybe doing a 100% composite stream.

I've got plenty left. Just let me know when you want them.(t-shirts)

Popped the original motor I was running so I have a fully modded 149 x flow being built for the rallys and I'm building the other motor as a weekend motor so I don't have to run fuel etc.

The possibilities on the 225 looper are endless. You can build serious dependable HP w/ them. Danny could also assit you with that. Hell just bring the powerhead & grab some shirts & let Danny play with it.

I am looking for another 150 eagle like yours. wanna sell it, do some trading anything???

Fully composite stream would be nice. Have ya seen the molds. Ya don't want to spend alot of money & end up with a nicely built but ****ty performing boat.
