Does anyone know if water injection has ever been used on outboard engines as it has been used on four strokes to gain horsepower and cooler running motors?
Thanks, Carter Powell

Do not know, but it would certainly make a lot of sense:
1. Water is cheaper than gas
2. Water cools better than gas
3. Two-strokes use a lot of gas just for cooling

I have no doubt that just about everything has been tried out on outboards including voodoo and chicken feet.:D
But I couldn’t begin to imagine all the problems water inside the crankcase would create in an outboard.
Of course we have all seen them on fours, but even in this applications it usually creates more problems than it solves. There are better ways to control detonation which doesn't rely on this band-aide approach.
